Organizing conferences is one of the ways chosen by the group in order to expose and make known the activities of research that are carried out. Counting on the presence of other professionals and experts, always with a interdisciplinary look, we aim to, starting with them, to generate debates and discussions that could go on expanding the limits of research.

1^st CONFERENCE “ART SOCIETY AND NEW TECHNOLOGIES”

 Taken place on November 13^th, 14^th and 15^th 2001.

During the three days of the conference the participants talked about art, society and technologies in an exhaustive way. During the mornings, apart from the intervention of the four members of the team, participated, among others Jorge Wagensberg, Claudia Giannetti, Norbert Bilbeny, Josep Amat o Antoni Mercader, who come from different academic environments that amplified the point of view and the positions and stimulated a lot of debates that were assisted by the students. In the evenings various artists who work with technology participated in round tables and thus presented a different point of view -that of practice. The assistance to the conference gave the students two UB credits.
